Tiny Building Experts, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, specializes in the custom design and construction of certified tiny homes on wheels (THOWs). Founded by Austin Baker and Tracy Manchego-Baker, pioneers in the tiny house industry, the company aims to lead the industry's growth and contribute to making tiny houses a viable option for affordable and attainable housing. Austin and Tracy bring over 10 years of combined experience to the company. Tracy has personally helped over 1000 people embrace tiny living, while their combined experience includes consulting, design, and marketing related to approximately 600 tiny home builds. Tiny Building Experts constructs RV certified tiny homes that are built for all seasons and longevity. They build tiny homes ranging from 8.6 to 10 feet wide and up to 34 feet in length. They offer customizable floor plans, roof styles, siding choices, colors, appliances, and built-in storage solutions. Clients are encouraged to participate in the design process. The company builds tiny homes with or without lofts, offers ground-floor bedroom designs, and can create ADA-accessible units designed for aging in place. While the site content doesn't specify particular construction methods and materials, it emphasizes using high-quality materials and partnering with the best tradesmen and installers to ensure durability. They also partner with reputable companies for steel frame kits and trailer foundations. They cater to DIY enthusiasts, offering consulting services, project plans with timelines, and access to experts who can guide them through the building process and assist with RV certification or building code compliance. The company emphasizes safety and offers guidance to avoid costly mistakes. Beyond individual homes, Tiny Building Experts is involved in developing tiny house communities. Notably, they are the builder for the We Fortify Project in Colorado Springs, contributing to an urban tiny house village designed to house at-risk youth, named Working Fusion At Mill Street. This community will consist of 18 tiny homes, shared spaces, a multi-purpose court, and a shared garden. Tiny Building Experts offers nationwide delivery and partners with licensed transport companies to ensure the safe arrival of their homes. They are actively involved in the effort to legalize tiny homes in Colorado and provide guidance to clients navigating the process of going tiny with confidence. They also cater to tiny house developers looking to build communities or resorts. They build ADUs to local building codes.
